An oil reproduction is a made-to-order painting reproduced by a professional artist whose goal is to make the reproduction as identical to the original as humanly possible. The artist not only uses the traditional artists' techniques but also specializes in using the original master's technique. Reproductions are painted by people, not by computers or other mechanical means, so there are slight differences. No two paintings are 100 percent identical.
